GB Petroleum Plc is an International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company, established in May 2005. The company is currently using the oilelefant WebGIS system to manage E & P assets for its operations in Europe and North Africa.

"GB Petroleum plc (GBP) purchased a license of oilelefant Version 1.0 in June 2007.
The software will form the basis of a fully electronic database system for GBP's expanding portfolio
of licenses, wells and seismic data, greatly reducing the need for hardcopy-based storage facilities.
Following a straightforward installation process, with remote guidance from Interactive Net Mapping's experts,
the package has been both easy and intuitive to use, even for staff with no previous GIS system experience.
The software has the flexibility to cater for various input coordinates and projection systems
and transforms these to a geo-spatially correct, standardised WGS-84 global projection for
consistency purposes. All input data is then displayed visually on a fully interactive global map,

Development is now currently being progressed on Advanced oilelefant Version 2.0 to encompass E & P related hardcopy catalogues and electronic document attachments.

The catalogues will be linked into the geo-spatial plotting properties as built in Standard oilelefant Version 1.0 which is currently now available.
In addition to the ability to attach an index for Physical hardcopy E & P records (paper, film, cartridges) will be Version 2.0 functionality to accommodate the attachment of images and files to the index catalogues to open and view.
Customers with Standard oilelefant Version 1.0 will have the benefit of upgrading to Advanced oilelefant Version 2.0
